Site, Business, OR Functional Area Overview The GE Aerospace facility in McAllen is one of our centers of expertise specializing in the repair of engine components used in commercial and military aircraft. These include LPT Nozzles, HPT Nozzles, and HPT Hangars. You’ll find state of the art technologies in CNC, EDM, and Coating as well as advanced technology development within our new Tech Lab.
Role Overview As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will utilize your expertise in manufacturing processes to support business goals and programs for aircraft engine component repair. This role is on-site and involves developing, maintaining, and improving manufacturing processes to ensure cost reduction, productivity, and product quality. Your work will be critical to driving process capability entitlement and repair industrialization initiatives.
Key Responsibilities - Develop, maintain, and improve manufacturing processes to ensure process control, stability, and conformance.
- Create and maintain manufacturing process instructions, equipment, and tooling aligned with repair readiness levels.
- Lead initiatives for cost reduction, productivity improvement, and product quality enhancement.
- Investigate, develop, and apply new technologies to manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and other manufacturing engineers to deliver results.
- Use technical expertise and data analysis to support recommendations and decision-making.
- Lead analytical and design activities using proven technologies and methods.

Required Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 6 years of experience in Manufacturing).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Production Process and Equipment Engineering.
- Ability to support off shifts and weekends as needed.
- Must meet U.S. export control requirements (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, national of the United States, asylee, or refugee).
- Must pass background and drug screening.
Preferred Qualifications - Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Ability to influence others and lead small teams.
- Proven ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
- Effective problem identification and solution skills.
- Proven analytical and organizational ability.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Additional Information - This role may require occasional support for off shifts and weekends.
- Background and drug screening are mandatory.
- Physical requirements may include standing for extended periods and working in a manufacturing environment.
