Our client, a leading nonprofit organization in San Diego, CA is seeking a Customer Service Representative to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for an empathetic, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a mission-driven environment. Key Responsibilities: + Act as the first point of contact for donors, volunteers, and program participants, delivering high-quality service through phone, email, and live chat. + Provide accurate information about the organization's programs, services, and events, ensuring clarity and alignment with the organization's mission. + Process donations, event registrations, or membership applications while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy in donor records. + Assist with resolving inquiries, concerns, or issues in a professional and empathetic manner, escalating cases as needed for swift resolutions. + Collaborate with internal departments, such as development or marketing, to streamline responses and provide seamless support to stakeholders. + Maintain and update CRM or donor databases with precise documentation of client interactions and feedback. + Participate in customer service training opportunities to continually enhance skills and stay aligned with organizational goals. Requirements + Minimum of 1-2 years of customer service or support experience (nonprofit experience is a plus). + Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a customer-focused approach. Strong problem-solving and organizational skills. + Proficiency in using CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), and virtual communication tools like Zoom or Teams. + Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, collaborative work environment. A genuine passion for helping others and supporting community-oriented initiatives. + High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree is a plus.
