Job Description

As they continue to grow, they are seeking an experienced and motivated Business Development Manager to join their team in Detroit, MI.

The Business Development Manager will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and building lasting relationships with clients across various industries. This individual will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, managing key accounts, and executing strategies to increase sales and brand presence in the staffing sector. This individual will have an open territory and the flexibility to target any industry vertical. They will also have the flexibility to sell to direct hire, contract, contract-hire to any size company.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Client Acquisition & Relationship Management :
    Identify and target potential clients within specific industries. Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with decision-makers at all levels, becoming a trusted partner in their staffing needs.

  • Sales Strategy & Execution :
    Develop and implement effective sales strategies to acquire new business and expand existing client portfolios. Work closely with the senior leadership team to align sales efforts with overall company goals.

  • Networking & Lead Generation :
    Attend industry events, conferences, and networking functions to build connections and generate leads. Leverage social media, professional networks, and other tools to identify opportunities.

  • Sales Presentations & Proposals :
    Prepare and present compelling proposals and presentations to prospective clients. Customize solutions based on client needs and requirements, addressing pain points and demonstrating our clients value proposition.

  • Market Research & Competitive Analysis :
    Stay informed of industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to identify new business opportunities and adjust strategies as needed.

  • Collaboration :
    Work closely with the recruitment, operations, and leadership teams to ensure the seamless delivery of staffing services and solutions to clients. Maintain open communication with internal teams to meet client expectations and ensure satisfaction.

  • Reporting & Metrics :
    Track and report on sales activities, pipeline development, and revenue performance. Utilize CRM tools to monitor progress, identify trends, and adjust strategies as needed.

Qualifications :

  • Experience :

    • 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management, within the staffing and recruitment industry.
    • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Skills :

    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all organizational levels.
    • Excellent negotiation and presentation skills.
    • Ability to think strategically, prioritize opportunities, and work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and a solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Education :

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
  • Other Requirements :

    • Ability to travel locally and regionally as needed.
    • Familiarity with CRM software and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Compensation & Benefits:

    • 20%-35% commission paid off GP
